Green Berets
May 20, 2002
Dear Honorable
Senator:
This month the United States is giving political
asylum from genocide to over 900 refugees fleeing to North Carolina from the
Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
On behalf of the US Special Forces community, we
request you put an end to the sterilization and genocide of these
Montagnard tribespeoples in Southeast Asia.
Please help move US Senate Bill HR-2833 out of the
committee
where Senator John Kerry (D-MA) is holding it up.
The enclosed satirical
poster expresses the strong feeling of every US Special Forces soldier we
know, about the US Senate's inability to act on this critical Bill. We are
asking you to put pressure on Senator Kerry to move HR-2833 out of committee
before it's too late to save the native Montagnard peoples from extinction. In
less than 30 years, while the population of Vietnam has grown from 30 million
to 79 million, the indigenous Montagnard population has dropped from 3 million
down to under 650,000 due to genocide in the Socialist Republic of
Vietnam.
Visit our "Green Berets for Human Rights"
website at www.GB4HR.net for
updated information on the tragic developing situation in Indochina.
Please push to PASS HR-2833.
Respectfully,
John A. Hanscom
former US Special Forces combat
intelligence operator
